Manila Trip & Our First Encounter :)

Oh my gah! seriouly i have left this blog since like forever isnt it? first of all, its not what i intend to do, but just happened. why? how come? anyway just a quick update, i am currently teaching in SK Sungai Tau, Selangau since March 2013. The school is located in an interior area of Sarawak. You can check out our school official facebook page HERE. But just so you know, we dont have any internet connection there (zero, nada!) and the phone receptions are very poor, so that very much explained my absent from the internet world. LOL. but hey thats maybe just an excuse right. i guess the fact that its really hard for me to get online when im there just made me lost my interest of blogging and even facebooking and all. seriously :(

so another quick update, ive made myself a backpacker and did travel here and there, so far just to the neighboring countries like Thailand  (Phuket), Cambodia (Siem Reap) and the latest one on last September, ive gone to Bali, Indonesia. but there was one trip which was very memorable & the one i wanted to share with u guys which is my backpacking trip to Manila, Philippines. & guess what, i finally met my best friend Jay in person! yay! so for all who does not know, we actually been online friends since 2007 via friendster (that was the most in social network by that time am i right?) but only by December 2013 we have finally met eye to eye. what a history. LOL. so anyway thanks a lot to my very best friend Jay who have been a very good guide and company during my 4 days visit.

Makam Mahsuri / Mahsuri Mausoleum - Langkawi

another post from our trip last year..this time, already in Langkawi..the first place we visit was the legendary Mahsuri Mausoleum..it is where the legend of a beautiful maiden who was unfairly accused of adultery & bled a white blood at her execution were buried..if you want to know more about the folklore, just search for Mahsuri and you'll find lots about it..lol..just not feeling to retelling the story *I'm not a good story teller anyway;p*..so I'd rather just keep to the old saying "picture tells a thousand words" ;p..so here are some of the pics from our visit to one of the main tourist attraction in Langkawi :)

Laman Padi / Rice Garden @ Langkawi

for those nature lover, this Rice Garden which also known as Laman Padi is totally a perfect place to go if you visit Langkawi..a very calming place with a very nice surrounding..it is literally a paddy museum so the surrounding is meant to showcase the real paddy field & the growth of the paddy itself..Kedah state is known and famous for its paddy anyway :)

to be honest i really dont know what to post lately..thats why i havent updated this blog much (besides practical & action research)..& the fact that my bestfriend Jay also been real quite in this blog since like forever (T_T) it makes me even lost! lol..pathetic..haha..so Jay, i really hope after this i will get to see another post from you in this blog..please please please..

so anyway, while i was just searchin around my fully loaded external hard disk (i mean seriously is fully loaded) to get rid off some stuff from the hard disk so i can get some more space (cause i just can't afford a new one right now), i came across to lots of my vacation pics which some are never published in facebook..lol..so then i thought, why not i use it as my new blog post material? so here's the first post, taken from end of last year vacation with my family..introducin to you, the Perak Royal Museum..

Chuping Sugar Cane Plantation, Perlis - The Biggest Sugar Cane Field In Malaysia

so we actually planned to get there before sunrise, of course to watch the sunrise..lol..but we just didn't make it..well it's quite a long journey from Penang to Perlis ok..huhu..then it also started to rain when we arrived there so we decided to go to Satun 1st & only on our way back to Penang we decided to go back there to take some pictures, i mean after we eventually stopped at the Ostrich Farm..lol

so this sugar cane field is the biggest in Malaysia which is about 22,000 hectares of plantations & the name Chuping derived from a limestone hill in the area called Bukit Chuping..so what to expect from a big sugar cane field like that? of course, a beautiful scenery :)..so yeah we came there just to take some pictures, because im telling u, it is a perfect spot to do a photoshoot..so just check out some of the pictures we've taken that day..

Ostrich Farm - Perlis

it was while on our way back from Satun that we stopped by for some ostrich feeding..lol..this Ostrich Farm is under the Perlis Central Veterinary Services a.k.a Pusat Perkhidmatan Veterinar Perlis..there is no entrance fee, so you can just walk in & meet the ostrich..but they do sell some food *or actually some plants* for the ostrich to the visitors for only RM1 a bunch, so why not just buy it :)

so here's some pics of us feeding the ostrich..it was an experience..i mean it was kinda scary at first but they actually kinda friendly..so just check out these pics..picture tells more than words right :)

A Short Day Trip To Satun, Thailand

just sharing some pics from our short day trip to Satun, Thailand..for those who still doesnt know where the heck is this Satun place, it south borders Perlis of Malaysia..so yeah we were visiting the Malaysia - Thailand border..but whatever, Satun is Thailand right..lol..while Wang Kelian is the Malaysia part of the border..

this dairy farm located at the foot of Mount Kinabalu..so it is pretty cold up there..& u can actually see e peak of e mountain like jst upon u..it really jst stood right there, but of course u gonna need 2 search for it through e thick fog (depends on e weather actually i guess)..but dont worry, e fog do move (very slowly though) so u will see it (i mean depends on ur patience & interest;p)

if u come around 3pm, ull get e chance 2 watch e milking process (with machine actually)..& if u got thirst, u can actually buy e fresh milk right there..lol..but seriously im tellin u, e milk taste really good, really fresh..but no need 2 think of buyin more 2 bring home bcos e milk cannot b kept 4 long - maybe max 5 days refrigerated..

entrance fee? only RM3 per person..hoho..but e journey u hve 2 go through 2 get there, pretty much a journey - i mean e road..but it still worth it:) so if u ever come 2 Sabah, maybe on ur way 2 poring, make sure ull stop by at this place 2 hve a glimpse of New Zealand dairy farm - or pretty much of it..thts y some jst call it little New Zealand ^_^ peace~

Those Big Fish Bit Me!!!!

this is a no joke!!! those fish really bites!!! & seriously they r really big!!! no kidding!!!

i got fishbites!!!

but no worries..they do bites but they dont eat *despite tht they r bigger than piranha*..but im tellin u e experience being surrounded & bitten by those fish really r kinda scary at first..but it was fascinating actually..lol

this place is actually a fish spa..but totally a no ordinary fish spa like we used to see @ go..this fish spa is in the river..i mean real river with flowing water..& those fish r not caged or what..they swim freely..& u just need to dip urself in e water, with a help of some fish food, jst in a sec they will b everywhere around u..seriously!!!

this fish spa a.k.a Luanti Fish Spa is located in Ranau, Sabah..the entrance is just next to the Sabah Tea entrance - u can see a big fish up on e entrance..it only opens on day - closed around 5pm - depends on e weather though, daily *if im not mistaken*..the entrance fee is only RM5 for feet spa & RM10 to swim with e fish, & ull get about 15 - 20 minutes of this amazing experience..seriously it really worth every penny - they say fish spa is good for skin..

so guys, ive been there, when will u? hehe..peace ^_^

The Diary Of Our Lepaking @ KL

Its jst another weekend *i mean last weekend*..bt this time, e lepaking took place in KL - with e help of public transport & our own feet..LMAO XD

kicking off e weekend:jst as my class finished tht friday evening, i get myself up & took a train *KTM* to Central KL b4 i took a monorail 2 Chow Kit..my bro was stayin @ Brisdale Hotel , so i jst join em up..

tht night we had our dinner @ Chop N Steak (The Ship) Kg. Baru..i had Smoked Salmon while bro zack ordered Chicken Gordon Blue..then we shared the macaroni..damn i love e macaroni!!! how i wish i can prepare something like tht..hoho..btw e place is jst a walking distance from e hotel *Chow Kit to Kg. Baru = not tht far lah*..

1st day:Our journey started from Chow Kit *e hotel of cos* to Bukit Bintang..had some window shopping @ Sungei Wang & a lunch @ Teppanyaki..

our next destination was Central Market..& we did some more batik hunting *after tht Kelantan trip..lol*..but in e end bro Zack decided 2 buy some batik drawing tools instead..haha..jst wait & see 4 e outcme *wonder when..lalala;p*

then we head to Sogo for some more window shopping..& after Maghrib, we started walking to our next destination 4 our dinner - Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa @ Kg. Baru..

2nd day:we went out jst after checkin out frm e hotel, n straight to Mid Valley..plan 4 tht day was to watch e movie StreetDance 3D - which i will post more abt it later;p..so we had some doughnuts @ Dunkin Donuts as a light meal b4 e movie..only after e movie we had some real meals..i mean after i had my new haircut..lalala;p..& we chose Korean Cuisine @ e food court..hoho..& bro zack also took grilled tofu as a side dish..

My 2nd Trip 2 Kelantan

last weekend ive gone to Kelantan 4 a 2nd time..& this time i was joining bro zack & his friends (kak jaja & kak mas) to their another friend's wedding recital..it was all rush at first as theres a problem with e bus i took frm Seremban to Penang & i arrived so damn late which made everything so out of e plan..theres some other stories bt jst skip it to e trip..ekeke

we were struggling 2 find e house bt finally made it jst in time..hoho..i found e ceremony was kinda interesting especially e tepung tawar part..n jst after done with e ceremony, we drove to Juita Premier Hotel @ Kota Bharu 4 a short rest & gt prepared 4 e next chapter of e trip..

abt this Juita Premier Hotel, it is very strategically located in e centre of e city..so everything is like jst in a walking distance..bt when it comes 2 e room, still ok..except e bathroom..huhu..totally nothing "premier" at all..& no further comment

tht night we had our dinner at this smewht like night market area which ive forgotten e name;p..& finally i gt 2 taste Sata *a smoked crashed fish meat wrapped in pandanus leaves* which i didnt gt a chance to during my 1st visit 2 Kelantan..we also had this blue rice aka nasi kerabu set which only cost MYR3..i remember during my 1st trip, we smewht cheated 2 pay higher thn e normal price for foods..so e moral of e story, do not make it too obvious tht u r sme outsiders when shopping there..haha;p

then weve gone to Wakaf Che Yeh for some batik hunting..haha..its a big night market which gettin more alive as e night gettin darker..& tht night was worth e walk..hehe;p..& we ended e night with a supper of Nasi Air at Moon Kopitiam & a short visit to Pantai Cahaya Bulan..

for e next day, we went to Pasar Siti Khadijah & MPKB market *i guess - not sure e name;p* for some more shopping, shopping & shopping *despite tht i havent gt my allowance yet*..kaaaching!!! & tht afternoon, we hve our lunch at Nasi Ulam Cikgu before starting our journey back to Penang..hoho

we also stopped by at Tanah Merah to visit their another friend *Kak Su* & hve sme more meals *not sure if its still can b considered as lunch..& its not even a tea time..lol*..btw e food was so delish tht i even forgotten i am still full..LMAO..then we also stopped awhile at Tasik Banding & buy some Ikan Pekasam - my bro said tht those fish r really tasty - he alrdy ate them while i dnt hve a chance T_T

we arrived at Penang around 8pm..bt e night doesnt end there..jst as we managed to hve a shower & etc, we rushed to GSC Sunway Carnival for e movie Despicable Me 3D, 9.20pm screening..though i missed e trailers b4 e movie *as i was queing 4 popcorn*, e movie was great!!! honestly, u really must watch e 3D version im tellin u!!! & only after e movie we finally go for dinner..hohoho..

so thts it..a very short trip bt a very enjoyable 1..huhu..wht an experience & a memory..thanks to bro zack, kak jaja & kak mas 4 e great trip..peace ^_^

then i had this Talentime..it was organized by this *unofficial* club *jst yet* by my class & our former visual art lecturer..& I jst competed as 1 of e contestant..i gt through 2 e final but only manage 2 gt 4th place *clearly ive screwed up big time 4 my 1st song - the Malay song which i barely used to sing*..bt im happy enough tht e program went smooth & well recieved ^_^

next..the crazy busy part started..assignments time!!! lots & lots of assignments jst handed..& for my major subject, visual art, we gt sme projects 2 b done..which totally driven me crazy..wuwuwu..we need 2 do a painting *me - acrylic*, wood carving, & pattern design 2 apply on sme 3D products..

then, in e middle of due dates 4 all those craziness, my class jst havin this trip 2 pantai timur (Kelantan & Terengganu)..it was in e syllabus so like it or not, we jst have to gt our ass on the bus & go for e trip..& seriously, most of e time, our asses was really like stucked, glued 2 e seats..wht e %#&@..T_T..*dnt evn wanna talk abt it*..

Massaging Bukit Hijau Legion!!!

last weekend i got back 2 penang 2 borrow my bro's black shoes (for my uniform since i dnt have a pair proper black shoes..lol)..

luckily our class end on 12.15pm tht friday, so ive decided to take bus from kl as i suppose there should be more bus there..unfortunately tht was totally a wrong decision..i forgot tht KL are having a day off today (february 2nd)..so theres a lot of people are goin back to their hometown tht friday..huhu..bt i managed to get a bus asap (eventhough the ticket was a bit expensive)..

so i arrived late tht night around 1am (not as planned to be around 10pm) so no movie tht night, jst satay like usual & then go back to sleep..zzzzzzzzZZ...

so whts on the next day? my bro said; choose!!! between beach @ waterfall..hohoho..well i love to play with water ok *despite my inability of swimming..LOL*..so i picked waterfall..cuz..its kinda hot these days so id rather go for waterfall than sunbathing at the beach..huhuhu





the destination was Bukit Hijau..so it was kinda fun..but a bit dissapointment cos we doesnt actually get to play at the big waterfall since it was already conquered by a group of teens..bt whtsoever as long as we still get to dip into the water..better than nothing right..

but it turned out to be more like a photoshoot session cos most of the time we were just taking pics..LOL..& the water was freezing cold!!! huhuhu

around 4pm we managed to get our ass off..next destination? surprise!!! well my bro actually planned to take me to this 1 traditional masseur cuz he's really worried abt my terrible headache (seriously it gettin worse around 2 weeks ago)..

but tht traditional massage requires us to get the treatment (the massage itself) for 3 consecutive nights + some "dont's" for 7 days (fuh!!!)..since im jst there for the weekend, he changed the plan to a reflexology massage instead..

honestly, ive never had a massage before, i mean for real, literally!!! hohoho..so tht was my 1st time..i am pretty nervous..all the time i was thinkin abt, hows it gonna be? does it hurt? does it really works? but the most important is, who's gonna be massaging me? wargh!!! *damn i was freaked out*

bt then when i get into the room, all the worries jst faded..huhu..the massage was good!!! i mean, yeah it does kinda hurt sometimes but i can really feel the difference..even while the massaging, i can feel it when he just relocate some nerve..he is good..i mean the masseur of course..hoho

they also gave me a herb prescription which he declares good for my migraine & my stomach..i wish it is..huhuhu~

so, since tht friday night we didnt get to go for the midnite movie, & my bro insisted to watch Legion, tht saturday night, we go to TGV seberang perai for tht movie midnite screening..

well, wht can i say abt the movie? it was okay..& just that..seriously..kinda tricked by the trailer actually (personally for me)..nothin much so great as most of the best part in the movie is all u can see in the trailer..whts left is just the full story..which also kinda plain..as the story end too soon i guess..so much question left unanswered..

but the best part is, bro zack whos really excited abt watching tht movie even fell asleep several times!!! LMAO!!!

so thts it!!! my short weekend at Penang..i mean, it was damn short!!! as i need to get on the bus on sunday at 11.45am..& the bus also got breakdown around Tapah so they transfer us to another bus which only stopped at KL..which mean i need to get myself to Seremban by my own, while i am tired & hungry..& i need to reach at the gate before 11pm..so tht really sucks!!!

thankfully i got the guts..LOL..so here i am..hehe ^_^..with some more task to be done..huhu..till the next post, adios..peace
